The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen will call the publisher unknown and ask you to confirm. That warning is accurate — we have not bought a certificate — and it is exactly why the checksum is on this page rather than in a footnote. Check it. The macOS disk image is unsigned for the same reason, so Gatekeeper will ask you to open it from the right-click menu the first time.
